Please consider supporting Hunter College High School Alumnae/i Association (HCHSAA) for Giving Tuesday. To encourage participation in this crucial effort, members of the HCHSAA Board of Directors have committed to stretching their own giving and pooling their resources to offer a match up to $15,000. All donations have been matched 1:1 up to $15,000, doubling each gift!  Now, let's see if we can triple the Board's gift and raise $45,000 to support Hunter!

In the donation form below, we offer you the option to allocate your gift to one of three areas:

General Operating Support

Helping HCHSAA carry out its full range of activities, including:

  • Funding grant requests from the High School to help every student and every teacher every day
  • Developing engagement programs for alums and students
  • Expanding our career advancement outreach to recent graduates

Promoting Diversity

The Alumnae/i Association’s Board of Directors is deeply troubled by the lack of diversity at Hunter and supports current student, faculty, and parent efforts to increase the number of Black, Latinx, and economically disadvantaged learners at the high school. In the pursuit of enacting change, the HCHSAA Board’s Diversity Committee is engaged in a series of initiatives. These include:

  • Test prep funding and enrichment and outreach to parents and elementary schools in under-represented communities to bring them more information about Hunter's excellent educational opportunities
  • Researching best practices of admission reform at specialized high schools across the country and learning from experts in the field to develop recommendations for increasing the presence of underrepresented students in the high school
  • Researching the experiences of past and present Black and Latinx students and their parents and surveying faculty to assess the reasons for discontent and develop recommendations for improving the climate and experiences of present and future students of the high school.

COVID-19 Emergency Fund

Supporting urgent, unforeseen, and ongoing programs and activities for the students and faculty of Hunter College High School related to the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Enabling the HCHSAA to rapidly respond to grant requests by the high school
  • Helping Hunter students overcome the challenges created by the global pandemic, especially the economically disadvantaged who are most adversely affected
